Buster Keaton: The Art of the Gag

Every Frame A Painting is hands down the best film-related youtube channel in existence. Comprehensive, in-depth analysis of everything from the comedy  of Edgar Wright to the sound editing of Martin Scorsese, Tony Zhou’s channel is fascinating for casual movie fans and film buffs alike.

Just this week, the channel released their first video in two months (sadly, content this great is only produced after months of work), and it’s one of their most enjoyable ever: Buster Keaton – The Art of the Gag. Highlighting the lasting influence of Keaton on Wes Anderson and Jackie Chan, among others, the video has hilarious clips from Keaton’s filmography, wonderful insight into cinematography and performance, and some pretty shrewd references.
